Horseshoe Bend

The remarkable thing about staying in Page is that you can see so many natural attractions in such a small area.  Just outside of Page and five miles downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam is Horseshoe Bend, a horseshoe-shaped curve in the Colorado River.  It is worth seeing on any trip to the area, and best of all, it takes less than an hour to enjoy.  The edge of Horseshoe Bend is just about 3/4 of a mile from the parking lot, and the walk goes quickly.  Be careful when you get to the edge – it’s a 1,000 foot drop straight down with no railings!
